Product Manager

Shelly Chambers

Strategy · Discovery · Delivery

Product-focused professional with deep expertise in strategy, data analysis, and product lifecycle management. I bring 15+ years of cross-functional leadership in media and broadcast, combined with a new chapter building and consulting on digital products, from streaming apps to AI-driven tools.

About Me

Bridging broadcast
& product thinking

I'm a product manager who has spent over 15 years at the intersection of content, audience, and operations, most recently at AMC Networks International, where I led strategic campaign planning and product innovation for a global broadcaster reaching 130+ countries.

In 2026 I made the deliberate move into product full-time: advising on an AI broadcast solution, building a streaming recommendation app from scratch, and leading growth for a tech podcast. I'm energised by solving discovery and decision-fatigue problems with a blend of user empathy and data.

I'm also passionate about giving back, through mentoring programmes, The Girls Network charity, and the WFTV mentorship programme, where I was mentored by a Group Director of Product Management at Sky.

💬 Shelly's take
Scheduling in broadcast remains largely retrospective, we measure performance, adjust future grids, and optimise based on what has already happened. But audience behaviour is no longer cyclical or contained within reporting windows. I listened in on the OTTRED AI in Media Think Tank session on nowcasting, and one theme stood out: if audience discovery is happening in real time, optimisation logic may need to as well. The real constraint isn't the technology, it's structural readiness. Fragmented data infrastructure, inconsistent metadata, and organisational trust in AI-led decision support. AI will not resolve those gaps, it will expose them. Which makes nowcasting less a modelling challenge and more a maturity test. I'm particularly interested in how this could evolve within FAST environments and promotional strategy, areas where experimentation feels both commercially relevant and operationally feasible.
